Here at Wind River Brewing Company, not only are we passionate about brewing beer, we are also passionate about wildlife conservation. Living in Pinedale, we get the opportunity to constantly see wildlife and we know that without the proper efforts, these opportunities might not exist in the future. We realized we could use our beer to make a positive impact on conservation throughout the state of Wyoming.
Our commitment to conservation began in 2023, when we partnered with the WYldlife Fund and started donating a portion of sale proceeds from our Pronghorn Pilsner. Since this partnership began, our Pronghorn Pilsner has become our best-selling beer and we have donated over $30,000.
Even though this contribution is beyond anything we could have ever hoped for, we decided to take things one step further. Starting in 2026, in addition to our contributions to the WYldlife Fund, we will be donating 3% of ALL beer sales to wildlife conservation projects throughout the state.
We have had the privilege to see our donations directly fund conservation projects in the state. Click below to read about them.

This year, $10,000 of our contributions to the WYldlife Fund went directly into Phase Two of the Upper Sweetwater Fence Initiative.
The Upper Sweetwater Fence Initiative is part of a larger project known as the Red Desert Fence Initiative. The Red Desert Fence Initiative’s mission is to improve habitat connectivity and reduce wildlife barriers in Wyoming’s Red Desert. During the first phase of this project, over 15 miles of outdated wire fencing near South Pass was updated to make wildlife migration crossings easier.
The second phase expands on this effort through the northern parts of the Red Desert and along the Sweetwater River corridor. The goal? Replace barbed wire and deteriorating fences with barbless configurations, improved spacing, and strategic crossings. These fences pose significant challenges to the migration of several species such as pronghorn, mule deer, moose, elk, and sage grouse.
We are proud to see our contribution go towards the improvement of fencing that will ease wildlife movement in the area. As this project continues to unfold, we cannot wait to see the profound effect this will have on wildlife migration.
